The Porcelaine Hound - A Rare Breed French Scent Hound
Admittedly I have admired these dogs for years. I am so thrilled and proud to own this beautiful, sweet girl! She is fitting in just great here. I'll post more information about the breed and pix when I have a chance to finish this page.
What Is A Porcelaine Hound?
Porcelaine Hounds are a rare French scent hound. People take advantage of their great noses by giving them jobs as Search & Rescue/Tracking/Man-trailing dogs, deer recovery, hunting, nosework and other activities. This breed is very elegant and they love their people. I have had fun showing Margeaux and everywhere we go, people ask what kind of dog she is and then remark how beautiful she is. I am so lucky to own this wonderful girl!
Margeaux's First Show Sight Ad - August 2019
CH Oak Hill's Margeaux - wow what a year!
What a great year it has been with Margeaux. Not only is she wonderful around the house and farm, she travels well, loves everybody she meets and gets along with all other dogs famously. We have been fortunate to win many Best In Shows at both AKC FSS shows and UKC shows. She really impressed us at UKC Premier in June 2019 by winning a G2 in the Scenthound Group and followed that up with the next day by winning the whole Scenthound group over some seriously gorgeous hounds!!
I am adamant about following the FCI breed standard, health testing, expanding the gene pool in an intelligent manner and first and foremost, never losing sight that the Porcelaine Hound is a working/hunting breed. Their beauty exists in their versatility and athleticism which is required as a hunting hound.

Great Start To 2020!
Margeaux and I kicked off 2020 with another Reserve Best In Show at the Dodge County Canine Club in Ixonia, Wisconsin which gives her the final qualifying leg needed for the GRAND CHAMPION title! Good girl Margeaux...
Then Covid shut everything down ...
But - we were able to attend an AKC Farm Dog Certification Test in October, where Margeaux easily passed the 2 required tests ending the year with an FDC title behind her name.

(Polish Import)
As it is my intention to preserve and protect the Porcelaine Hound to the FCI standard, I have imported a gorgeous male puppy from Ewa Pilich's Nova Espera kennel in Poland. "Mondo" joined me on July 12th when he flew into O'Hare in Chicago. He is beautiful, wonderfully tempered and has all the attributes a very well bred Porcelaine should have.
He is very sweet and learns very fast, although when you name your dog "the king of the world", they sure think they are!

Mondo - Introduction To The Fancy August 2021
Mondo's first day doing AKC Tracking
Amazing! This puppy has true natural ability and a great nose. His very first time tracking he immediately put his head down in short grass, followed the first leg to the turn, executed the turn, found every article, nailed every other turn all the way to the glove, which included a couple of elements of TDX. Feeling very optimistic about this boy's future in tracking and any other sports relating to olfaction!
Mondo's first title - BHA RATN
Mondo finishes Champion title in high style February 11, 2024 & adds CGC title in April 2024
I entered Mondo in a UKC show on February 11, 2024 in Wisconsin and he finished his Champion title by winning 2 Best of Breeds and winning the Scenthound group with good competition under both judges. Was a fun day with dogs and friends!
Aria's Ooh La La! "Giselle"
Giselle - Bred by me (Mondo X Margeaux) and whelped here at home on 02 Sept 2023 with the help of my granddaughter and best helper Birdie.
From the moment she opened her eyes, Giselle never took them off me and clearly told me she was staying here.
She's sweet, smart, beautifully put together and has all the correct attributes that a Porcelaine Hound should have per the FCI standard.
Decided to enter her in a puppy show Feb 11th, 2024 and she won Reserve Best Puppy In Show her first time out!
She has been through 2 different puppy classes and started Barn Hunt.

Rosco - Bred by me (Mondo X Margeaux) and whelped here at home on 02 Sept 2023 with the help of my granddaughter and best helper Birdie. In fact, when the pups were 2 weeks old , Birdie came over and pointed to each one and gave them a name. The name Rosco stuck and it fits him.
AKC has a name requirement where you cannot name a dog if they (AKC) have a title with those letters, hence the American version of his French UKC name. Same beautiful puppy.
Rosco has been thru his first obedience class and started barn hunt. He is a beautiful boy with a typical happy, silly boy attitude. Such a sweet dog and he, like the rest of his siblings wants to please and in typical Porcelaine fashion snuggle with you any time of day. (Sometimes when you least expect it... LOL).
Rosco will continue with foundational obedience training as well as barn hunt and get started on tracking. Dog shows are also in his future as he is a gorgeous boy just like his daddy Mondo.

- Rosco.... my little keeper boy. I could always tell him from the other pups in the litter because he has a little pigment spot on top of his head. He was the smallest pup in the litter but very vigorous and healthy.
- He is a beautiful example of the Porcelaine breed per the FCI standard, I LOVE his headpiece, bone, structure and attitude. Very sweet and smart, always a happy, wiggly boy with such a cute personality.
