What a dog! She not only finished her Master Hunter title in 6 of 7 starts (owner handled) she did it before she was 3 years old. She has always been the most sweet, gentle soul and even in her old age as a veteran she won Best of Opposite at a Weim Specialty beating numerous finished (younger) champions. She loves to do anything and is always great with all dogs and puppies of any breed. Even at the age of 14 now, she still enjoys upland hunting and is one of the best teachers I have for the younger dogs out in the field. She's definitely slowing down a bit but will find any kong or tennis ball on my property. Great sense of humor, beautiful girl, the best temperament ever and smart as a whip. I would say "typical Weim" but she really is one in a million. I recall my bracemate at a field trial in Nebraska telling me "She brings Weims up in the food chain for me" when Ari blew the socks off his GSP that day. Meaning she's a great, hard driving dog with a lot of bird sense. Ari also gave me one beautiful puppy girl named Lady who went onto become the first bench champion / champion tracker Ari - ever the beautiful butterfly..... Miss her a lot... |

 Rosebud - our Weim puppy star!
I love Weimaraners - especially beautiful, versatile, smart Weimaraners with great temperaments. When this little darling was born I knew she had to come spend her life with us. So far she has has proven herself to be everything I dreamed and more! She travels well, is birdy, smart, gets along with our other dogs and loves people. The future is very bright for Rosebud and we absolutely adore her.
Rosebud now is show pointed and has a Junior Hunter title at 9 months. At 6 months, she won Best Weimaraner Puppy and 2nd place in the Puppy Sporting Group at an AKC show and in July 2015, won back to back Best of Breed wins over specials at Burlington KC as well as WB/BOW/BOS at Waukesha Kennel Club! Recently, I entered Rosebud in the Brew City NAVHDA Natural Ability test and she received the maximum score possible in each event. It was extremely hot (90 degree temps), but she rocked it! Way to go Rosebud... NA Prize 1 - Score 112 Thank you Elena for letting Rosebud fill our hearts & home with more "gray love"!
